Privacy Policy

This policy explains which information may be collected during a visit, why it is used, and the limited circumstances in which it may be disclosed. By using Lee County Court Docket, you accept the practices stated below.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies the response. Lee County Court Docket does not retain or record those search terms on its own systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

An email may be kept as needed to prepare and deliver a reply. Messages remain within the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.

Data We Gather Automatically

When a page loads, the servers may automatically receive basic technical details about the visit:

  • The IP address assigned to your device
  • Which browser you are using and its version
  • Your device type and operating system
  • The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
  • The site that sent you here, if any
  • Timestamps for each page view

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help measure how visitors move through the pages, including which material receives traffic and where visits end. Analytics providers combine that usage information into reports. Cookies can be blocked through browser settings, although doing so may change how some features work.

What We Do With This Data

  • Operating the website and maintaining reasonable load times
  • Routing search requests to the appropriate outside provider
  • Measuring which pages are useful and where improvements are needed
  • Diagnosing errors and other technical problems
  • Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests

No Court-Record Data on File

Lee County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case information. It provides general directions to records held by the Lee County District Clerk, the County Clerk, local courts, and re:SearchTX. Texas judicial-record access is governed by court rules and other law, including Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12 where applicable. The Texas Public Information Act does not erase the judiciary-specific boundary recognized by Texas law. This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party profiles.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted through a tool is handled under that provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its own retention and disclosure practices. Review those terms before sending a query.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to Lee County clerk pages, Texas court portals, re:SearchTX, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows such a link, the destination's privacy terms control. Review them before supplying personal information.

Some advertising providers may observe activity across websites to select targeted advertising. That processing occurs through the provider's systems.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be disclosed to:

  • Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
  • Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
  • Ad networks that place ads on our pages
  • Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for collected information. No internet system can be guaranteed secure, so protection against every breach or unauthorized event cannot be promised.

Users Under 18

The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If a minor is believed to have supplied information, contact the operator so it can be removed.

Your Data Rights

Rights may vary by residence and applicable privacy or consumer-protection law. Texas residents may have qualifying rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act. Requests may include the following, subject to legal exceptions:

  • Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
  • Have us fix information that is wrong
  • Request that we erase your data
  • Opt out of certain kinds of data processing

Updates to This Policy

This policy may be revised. A new version becomes available here with an updated effective date, so visitors should review it periodically for changes in data practices.

Effective date: September 7, 2026
